Research On The Color Of Chinese Theater In The Old City Of Beijing

Beijing is a city full of historic and culture.the classical opera and traditional Theate, is apart of many historical and cultural heritage of Beijing. The few Peking Opera Theater inBeijing is not only the ancient Chinese opera art witness, but also the crystallization of Beijingtraditional architectural art. The theater mostly built in the Ming and Qing dynasties almostattached to the royal court, palace, hall, temples and other buildings. Some commercialbuildings such as Teahouse appeared in the late Qing dynasty for attending the theater.The color of the old theater buildings reflects the unique charm of Chinese traditionalarchitecture in the color. In this paper the author made the Beijing old city construction coloras the object of study, did a lot of reseach on the old theater buildings in old Beijing such asThe Palace Theater, theaters in Palace of feudal princes, theaters in halls(Chinese traditionalhalls), stage in temples etc.The first chapter briefly introduced the background,goals, methods,significance andideas of the research, which provides a theoretical basis for the following research and has acertain guiding significance. The second chapter mainly elaborates the emergence,development and present situation of the theater buildings both in China and foreigncountries,and summarizes the relevant research work to refine the research direction of thepaper. The third chapter briefly introduces the method of the research on the color ofbuildings. This paper applied this method to the research of color of the old theater buildingsin Beijing.The fourth chapter mainly combines the architectural color theory and otherrelated disciplines with the preliminary data collected and puts forward a series of colorrestoration principles. The fifth chapter according to the research results of the color aboutthe traditional theater buildings in old city of Beijing, and points out the deficiency in theinheritance of traditional architectural color on Beijing traditional theater buildings, andgives suggestions on the color application on these theater buildings. The sixth chapteranalyzes the color of the traditional theater building in Beijing from the overall perspective,and prospects the development of this kind of performance function of traditionalarchitecture.This paper carried on quantitative research on the architecture of Beijing old city colorfrom the scientific point of view. The color features of the old theater buildings in Beijingwere put foward to grasp the city color planning of Beijing in detail control.
