Architectural color is an important way to express the city’s spirit,and it has a very important role in highlighting the characteristics of the city.As the relatively concentrated range of Beijing’s elite districts,the old city of Beijing faces the loss of its characteristics in the protection and renewal of its features.This article hopes to provide a practical reference for the protection and design of the overall architectural color of the old city of Beijing by exploring and analyzing the color contrast laws of the Qianmen Street area within the cultural essence of Liulichang-Dashilan-Qianmen East.Enrich domestic theories and methods of urban building color planning and design.The thesis combs the relevant theories of color science,color contrast theory,color psychology,architecture,building materials and other related theories,as well as the analysis of domestic and foreign urban color planning and design cases,and applies color contrast research methods to architectural colors and their comparisons.Further study the law,and form a qualitative and quantitative analysis and research method and conclusion on the color contrast law of the building.Through field surveys and literature review,it can be found that the Qianmen Street area is an important area of Beijing’s urban characteristics,including many commercial buildings,financial buildings,cultural and educational buildings.By sorting out the color changes of buildings in different historical periods in the area of Qianmen Street,using the Munsell international standard color system to collect the colors of buildings in the area of the street,and using the "geographic color information management system database" for statistical analysis of color data,Form an overall understanding of the current color contrast laws of the Qianmen Street area.Analyze the color laws of the Qianmen Street area from the three levels of group buildings,type buildings and representative building color contrast laws in the area,combined with the implications behind the architectural colors Change factors of affair,dig out the main points of color,and summarize the law of color contrast.Based on the premise of protecting the characteristics and cultural connotation of the buildings in the area,the control principles of architectural color contrast are summarized as follows: the protection and continuation of the historical context,the coordination of the overall regional architecture,and the harmonious development of ancient and modern buildings must be followed;the architectural color protection strategy is given In order to classify the buildings in layers,so as to extract the color contrast impression of the building and the specific color control value,and combine the specific cases of building color comparison and correction in this area,try to protect and highlight the color essence of the building and continue the historical context.It will provide a certain reference for the planning and implementation of the future architectural colors of the old city of Beijing.
