Stable Type Suspension Bridge is a new type bridge, it increase the inverse-tensional system under the floor of the traditional suspension bridge. The overall stiffness of the bridge is improved to some extent, it is especially applicable for medium and small span bridges. When the vehicle driving over the bridge, the vibration of the bridge structure will be caused. In turn, the vibration of the bridge affect the vibration of the vehicle too. This mutual influence between the vehicle and the bridge is the problem of coupling vibration. The vibration of the bridge superstructure will be caused by dynamic vehicle action, the structural may cause Fatigue, reducing its strength and stability. If the vibration of bridge is too large, the security and stability of the vehicle on the bridge might be impact. For small and medium suspension bridge, the quality ratio of stiffening beam to live load is small, so the deformation and stability is poor, so that coupled vibration problem is more prominent. Therefore, it is very necessary for studying the problem of vehicle-bridge coupled vibration to the medium and small span suspension bridge.In this paper, for the vehicle-bridge coupled vibration of stable type suspension bridge is based on the finite element numerical simulation. The main work and results are as follows:1. The history and current situation of suspension bridge development in world has been summarized and induced, The principle and the advantages of stable type suspension bridge has been introduced, The history and method of research on vehicle-bridge coupled vibration has been introduced.2. The basic theory of finite element algorithm and the basic theory of suspension bridge design and calculation have be introduced. And two type of suspension bridge (stable type suspension bridge and common suspension bridge) is established. With general-purpose finite element software two type of suspension bridge were nonlinear static analyzed, the initial strain of main cable and the inverse cable will be set for the suspension bridge. Simultaneously on the modal analysis the front limited natural frequencies and mode shapes were obtained, preparing for the analysis of vehicle-bridge coupled vibration.3. In vehicles, three vehicle model were established:the vehicle model of moving force; the vehicle model of moving mass; A quarter of spring-mass vehicle model. The basic finite element analysis theory of vehicle-bridge coupled vibration was established according to each vehicle model.4. With calculation functions of general-purpose finite element software, combining with vehicle-bridge coupled model, APDL vehicle-bridge coupled finite element program were written. Nonlinear dynamic response of the different vehicle model on the two different suspension bridge was calculated. In the results, the effect of different vehicle models with different speed for coupled vibration was analyzed. Meanwhile on the mode of driving, three ways were selected for the calculation of stable type suspension bridge:one way driving; the same way driving; the different way driving.5. Vehicle-bridge coupled response analysis of two suspension were calculated comparatively. The results showed significantly stable type suspension bridge of static and dynamic performance was improved and vehicle-bridge coupled response was reduced.
