The stable type suspension bridge is a kind of improved suspension bridge.From the point of view of the existing theory and model, the stable type suspension bridge phase compared with ordinary suspension bridge in small span has advantages of larger structures.Considering with the increase of the span,the bridge is not the simple mechanical properties changed from the cross to the large span.Therefore it is very necessary to study the mechanical properties of long-span stable type suspension bridges.The following work has been completed in this paper:1, Suspension bridge under static load of structure stress analysis is the most basic design theory of suspension bridge, the static characteristics of the stable type suspension bridge were studied and using Galerkin method independent derivation of the suspension bridge under vertical static load deformation equation. In order to validate the equation of reliability, the derived equation were qualitative analysis, analysis results show that the equation is credible.2, At the lower part of the stable type suspension bridge set up anti tension system in by stress redistribution after suspender stress will increases. Considering all the design of suspension bridge with analytical theory to make the boom will not produce deformation hypothesis, can directly to its application in large span stable type suspension bridge is questionable. In this paper, by means of the finite element method established a force model and tried to make this assumption is verified from the direction of the numerical method. The results show that boom deformation assumption is reliable.3, With the bridge span increases the effect of nonlinearity on the structure will increase. In order to verify the stable type suspension bridge in large span is still useful, this paper through the finite element software established large span stable type suspension bridge and its corresponding ordinary suspension bridge two model, and on the loading and deformation analysis, dynamic characteristics analysis, axle coupling vibration analysis and analysis of seismic response of bridges, thereby study of large span stable type suspension bridge’s mechanical properties.The experimental results show that the mechanical properties of stable type suspension bridge is significantly better than the ordinary suspension bridge in large span range, large span stable type suspension bridge is feasible.
