For the same section modulus of circle tubular steel column in different directions, the circle tubular steel column is a frequently used in the buildings and it is very economical tubular column. The connection joints are very important in designing circle tubular steel column&steel beam frame structure. The type of circle tubular steel column&steel beam frame connection joints are outer diaphragm connection joint, interior diaphragm connection joint, connection joint with anchorages and other extending connection joints on the basis connection joints which are previously mentioned.Currently, the main shortcomings of outer diaphragm connection joint which are frequently used the buildings is its impact on the architecture facade. Two new type circle tubular steel column-steel beam frame connection joints are proposed. Such connection joints are used in "Multi-storey circle tubular steel column&steel beam frame structure" in multi mountainous area and multi earthquake area in Yunnan Province, which meet the characteristics-"Whole assembly-style" and "Live all-bolted". One new type circle tubular steel column with separate outer sleeve&H-section steel beam frame connection joint is studied in this paper.In this paper, the finite element model of the new type connection joint is builded and the accuracy of the model calculation is verified by examples and comparativety with analysis of other scholars. Then the impact of factors such as loading style, whether there is concrete in the column or not and steel material trade-mark on the new type connection joint.is analyzed, to which determine the basic model at the most unfavorable conditions. And then the impact of factors such as parameters of the sleeve-thickness and sleeve-height and axial compression ratio on the mechanical properties with monotonic loading and ductility, energy dissipation capacity with the reciprocating load is studied by using the basic model.While the stress distribution at the core joint area of new type connection joint with monotonic loading and the impact of factors such as parameters of the sleeve-thickness and sleeve-height and axial compression ratio on it is studied.
