Nowadays conventional energy crisis and the environmental pollution have become increasingly prominent. Developing other renewable energy sources, such as solar, has become a consensus among the countries of the world, which also makes the solar photovoltaic industry develop more rapidly in recent years. Solar photovoltaic is one of important direction of utilizing the solar energy, however, most of the construction of photovoltaic power stations distributed in dispersed, remote and harsh environment which not conducive to staff on duty, that’s severely restricting the promotion of the use of photovoltaic technology, at the same time it highlights the importance of the photovoltaic power stations’ monitoring.Increasing PV power station in Real-time, efficient detection,maintenance and management has become one of the important issues to be considered in the construction of photovoltaic power stations. In this paper, remote PV power station monitoring system is proposed based on the combination of ZigBee wireless communication technology and BP neural network technology.In this paper,a intelligent remote PV power station monitoring system is proposed, which can do data acquisition, data analysis and diagnose fault.Jennic EK000is used as the hardware develop environment, and taking the JN5139as the main controlling chip.ZigBee protocol is used,and realized data acquisition and transformation between main-node and sub-node through the star network. Software develop tool CodeBlocks is used as integrated development environment, the program can be downloaded to the destination board; The BP neural network intelligent algorithm with its high nonlinear mapping, self-learning, fault tolerance ability had been applied to PV power station fault diagnosis system.This system design the input and output algorithm of PV power station’s main faults, through the network training, set up PV power station intelligent fault diagnosis system based on BP. MATLAB training results show that this algorithm can diagnose specific types of photovoltaic power station’s malfunction accurately; Finally, using Lab VIEW programming language display and process the collected data, using VISA serial communication technology communication with ZigBee, and set up the BP fault diagnosis system based on Lab VIEW, which can display the diagnosis process on the monitor interface. the Access database is used to store data, so as to realize effective automatic control of the PV power station. The experiment results show that this remote PV power station monitoring system can realize stable and reliable operation, and has the advantages of simple network, less cost, and good maintainability. It can achieve the expected effect.The remote PV power station monitoring system studied in this paper can realize real-time monitoring, determining the cause of the fault quickly, and recording the monitoring data. It is conducive to staff quickly and accurately troubleshooting and it can achieve monitoring function of the PV power station.Finally, this paper points out the places that can be improved in this study, and makes the prospects of its development.
