Externally pressurized gas bearing has been widely used in the field of aviation, semiconductor, weave, and measurementapparatus because of its advantage of high accuracy, little friction, low heat distortion, long life-span, and no pollution. This thesis isbased on the domestic and overseas research. The use of solar thermal in high temperature levels is affected sharply by the variation of time, meteorological, geographical and environmental conditions. A solar simulator with high radiation fluxes have been designed for high-temperature thermal applications. The simulator, characterized by simulating large-area-concentrated sunlight irradiation characteristics, is qualified to adjust both the scale and the radiation intensity of the concentrated fluxes on the focal plane to expected conditions.A detailed design description of the concentrating system has been put forward, which contains the building of a mathematical model of the condensers and condenser systems, whose size as well as the characters have been simulated by a method of Monte Carlo ray tracing method. Besides, the completed mechanical system, electrical-control system and cooling system are designed to ensure the safety of concentrating system, the core part of the solar simulator. This designed high-flux solar simulator works at the maximum power of70KW. And the peak irradiance reaches at the level of15MW/m2in the center of the focal plan which receives radiation flux at a total number of20KW in a circle diameter of60mm, making the average flux aggregated at3000kW/m2. This solar simulator dominates the highest radiation fluxes among all the solar simulators in China.
