Substation DC system plays an important role in the power system. It provides a reliable guarantee for the security, economic and reliable operation of the system. Substation DC system generally configures battery energy storage devices. Punch current is very big. During the initial state of the DC system in operating, the current makes great damage to battery, serious shorten its service life. If the super capacitor is responsible for the impact load part, it can ease the current to the battery. Therefore, it is necessary for the study on super capacitor-battery hybrid storage DC system.This thesis designs the circuit of super capacitor-battery hybrid storage DC system, aims to make the super capacitor discharge priority, buffering the impact load on the damage of the battery. Firstly, the thesis conducts the technical analysis and economic analysis. For the technical, the hybrid energy storage system is feasible. The super capacitor can meet the running requirements of DC load when it is in separate discharge. At the same time, by analyzing the study of super capacitor and battery capacity allocation scheme, illustrates the economically also can be optimized. Secondly, based on the time of the DC load operating agency action and energy requirements, it proposed super capacitance calculation method. According to voltage fluctuation range impact load allowed in the accident, the resistance and inductance auxiliary parameters were calculated in the circuit. Third, for the super capacitor voltage discharge process to reduce the problem in this thesis, it uses the bidirectional DC-DC power converter. By selecting the control strategy to control the converter, it improves the output voltage of the super capacitor, reaching the purpose of depth discharge of the super capacitor. Fourth, super capacitor-battery hybrid energy storage DC system model is set up in MATLAB. It simulates two conditions of a sudden power failure and sudden load and analysis of the comparison results. Finally, the experimental results verify the correctness of the simulation results, while the simulation results with the experimental guidance.
