Power transformer plays a decisive role in the transmission and distribution power system. Extensive attention has been paid on the power transformer fault diagnose. And the dissolved gas is of the most important in transformer fault diagnosis. So, the analysis of dissolved gas is necessary.This paper has researched on the oil Dissolved Gases. Collected data to build a DGA sample set of faults. A transformer oil dissolved gas level diagnosis model had been set up. Effective diagnostic results are got by choosing an appropriate classifier. Artificial neural network is used for dissolved gas in transformer oil diagnosis. And a fault diagnosis expert system had been built, measurement results are more accurate in the system, and the recognition rate is improved significantly.In this paper, the diagnosis result has guiding significance for the maintenance. The proof of a great deal operating data indicated the validity and reliability of this expert system towards transformer diagnosis and analysis.
