Renewable energy exhibits strong growth prospect under the dual pressures of environment and energy, which has been given a high priority in the development and utilization of the whole world, especially for wind, solar and other clean energy. The most direct way of large-scale development of wind energy is generation, but in the reason of volatility and intermittent, which would adversely affect the stable operation of the power grid, wind power capacity is limited. Therefore, solving the wind power output fluctuations and improving the rate of wind power become to be a key issue on the basis of safe and stable operation of the power grid.The keypoint of this paper is the combination operation strategy of different energy storage technologies, which take advantages of their respective strengths to achieve rapid, large-capacity, economic energy storage, and stabilize fluctuations of wind power output, reduce the adverse effects on the grid.Firstly, the current characteristics of the wind power and adverse affect on the grid were studied in this paper, and the necessarity for energy storage and different needs of energy storage devices in the base of wind power decomposition were presented, which demonstrates the feasibility of different energy storage technology portfolio operation.Secondly, the characteristics of super capacitor energy storage and pumped storage in the type of power and capacity were introduced in this article, and simulation analyses of single energy storage technology were showed, then a policy of combination storage operation based on capacity threshold interval was proposed.Then, the simulations of combination storage operation strategy under the MATLAB/Simulink condition were made, which analyze the effect of micro-grid frequency and tie-line power.Finally, an evaluation model of comprehensive benefits of SCHC storage system were presented in this paper, which gives the evaluation factors mathematical model and presents a method for the cost and economic analysis of wind-storage system.
