At this stage, the development of the power grid has entered into high voltage, intelligent, and large power grid. With the increasingly complex of space truss structure and rapidly improve voltage level, the new process and new product update speed increasingly frequent, the intelligent renovation project construction site safety management and especially in the construction stage risk management puts forward higher requirements. Intelligent renovation project construction risk, management risk and technology risk are larger than the new construction risk, it would affect the safe and stable operation of power system directly, so as to cause personal casualty accident, accident of power grid and accident of power equipment safety to hinder the goal of construction. Therefore, how to eliminate or reduce risks has become a problem in the construction of intelligent substation reconstruction project.This paper takes the risk management of the construction site of substation smart upgrade as the research object. It designs for risk management system including risk identification, risk analysis and risk prevention process. And it analyzes the risk management of substation smart upgrade by examples. This paper mainly includes five parts. The one is the research on the basic theory of risk management of substation smart upgrade construction site. This part defines the basic concept of the risk management, it tells three steps:risk identification, risk analysis and risk prevention. The two is the analysis about constitution of risk, the influence factors and the regularity of accident. This part analyzes constitution of risk, the influence factors and the regularity of accident. It provides the basis for the risk management of the construction site of substation smart upgrade. The three is risk identification. This part mainly analyzes the principle and method and analyzes security risk in the construction site of substation smart upgrade by Safety Check List and Accident Tree Analysis method. The four is the risk prevention in the construction site of substation smart upgrade. This part studies the measures or the risk prevention and control. The last one is the conclusion and prospects. This part reviews the main content of this paper, analysis and research on the above summary, and points out the inadequacies of this article and the subject needs further study, finally summarizes the expected achievements possible points of innovation in this paper.
