China is located in the Eurasian seismic belt and the circum-Pacific seismic belt. Earthquake’s damage is tremendous with its frequent occurring. As an important part of lifeline engineering, bridge structure plays an important role during the earthquake relief work and reconstruction. The bridge seismic damage and the resulting secondary disasters brought huge losses. However, the earthquake damage to the findings of the bridge structure destroyed in the earthquake is a very serious view.In the previous earthquake, has a rigid frame arch bridge damage cases. Which is also found in the Wen-chuan earthquake damage investigation and statistical frame arch bridge is the bridge one of the main seismic hazards. Rigid frame arch bridge has been widely adopted, because of its structural simplicity, elegant, etc. But for the dynamic characteristics of rigid frame arch bridge, particularly its seismic response characteristics, the present study is seldom.In this dissertation, the bridge seismic damage and studies on seismic responds of rigid frame arch bridge are summarized. And take the Chuan-xi bridge in Peng Zhou as the background, applied ANSYS software, the truss model of Chuan-xi bridge is established up, and response spectrum and dynamic time-history analysis are carried out.The main research contents are as following:①The dynamic characteristics of the bridge is calculated, and the seismic responds are analyzed by esponse spectrum and dynamic time-history method, and the differences of the methods are compared;②The time-history responds of the bridge is analyzed under Wen-chuan earthquake wave, the damage positions of the bridge under Wen-chuan earthquake is discussed;③The model based on the reinforced is established and the dynamic characteristics is carried out and the seismic response is analyzed by response spectrum; then dynamic response and results of response spectrum are compared with reinforcement. Finally, the weakness of the bridge-arch legs is checked for its bending strength.Through Chuan-xi Bridge seismic response analysis, the characteristics of the seismic response of bridge is summarized, and it would be used as the reference for the sismic design of rigid frame arch bridge.
