The structural reliability analysis includes complex operations.In general, this process requires computers to complete the calculation.Currently domestic programs for structural reliability analysis have the disadvantage of poor universality, imperfect function and poor human-computer interaction. Thus it is necessary to develop a versatile, full-featured and user-friendly structural reliability visualization analysis programs for researchers and engineers.Based on the common reliability analysis method, an estimate of non-normal random variable joint probability density method is developed in this paper. The " Structural Reliability Analysis and Design System "(SRADS for short) is developed with MATLAB GUI.The major work of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1) For the problem that non-normal random variables joint probability density function is difficult to express, a method which calculates the non-normal random variables joint probability density with equivalent normalization is developed in this paper, and this method is applied to Monte Carlo importance sampling method containing the relevant random variables.(2) Based on MATLAB GUI, the visualization program "Structural Reliability Analysis and Design System" is developed. This system includes seven sub modules:"JC Method"(JCM for short),"Mapping Transformation Method"(MTM for short),"Second Order Reliability Method in Laplace Mode"(SORMLM for short),"Monte Carlo Direct Sampling Method"(MCDSM for short),"Monte Carlo Importance Sampling Method"(MCISM for short),"Design Based On Reliability Index"(DBORI for short)and "Nataf Transformation Method"(NTM for short).These sub modules make the visualization of five methods which are in the category of "First Order Second Moment"."Second Order Reliability Method" and "Monte Carlo Method","Design method based on reliability index" and "Nataf transformation" come ture.The operation of modules is very simple, and the results can be displayed in the interface.(3) According to the certain format,the the results of the analysis and calculation process are inputted into a TXT file by MATLAB’s I/O function,then the user can save the"calculation book" of the structural reliability analysis or the design based on reliability index.(4)Through analyzing and calculating a large number of examples in the related literature, the software SRADS and the method proposed in this paper are proved to be effective.
