Nowadays, semi-rigid base asphalt concrete road surface has been one of the mostcommon used styles in the road construction of our country, with a lot of obviousadvantages, comparing with other road styles. However, as the rapid developing of theroad construction in our country, the demand of prevention and cure of variousdamages of the semi-rigid base asphalt concrete road surface is increasing. And theattended mode between the road base and surface is more and more accounted of now.In this thesis, three dimensional imaging and fractal dimension are combined. Withthree dimensional reconstruction of two dimensional image of the semi-rigid base, thefractal dimension is computed, and together with the semi-rigid base asphalt concreteroad surface to judge the influence factors on the interfaces. Through the research, inthe range of the gradation of the lab, the fractal dimension of the semi-rigid baseasphalt concrete road surface is related to the road’s rut deformability and waterstability, as well as the road’s anti-fatigue degree, two dimensional linear relationshipwith the former and one dimensional linear relationship with the latter.In the thesis, by the research of the attended mode of the semi-rigid base asphaltconcrete road surface, the three dimensional imaging technology is used to deal withthe rebuild of the semi-rigid base with the help of Matlab software. Taking Non-Herzelastic contact model and Goodman model of the attended mode into consideration, weanalyzed the influence factors of the three dimensional configuration of the basesurface by the study of the attended form of the interface of the semi-rigid base asphaltconcrete road surface. Using the fractal dimension of the semi-rigid base top as thetypical value of the interface’s forms, we computed the fractal dimension of thesemi-rigid base top and the road performance index of the semi-rigid base asphaltconcrete road surface at different gradations. By processing the different fractaldimension and its corresponding road performance index, we can obtain the linearrelationship between the fractal dimension with the rut deformability, water stabilityand mechanical strength. And then, test method of the interface damages is proposed,which is non damage to the road, high efficient, high accuracy and well safety. Twonon-damage method, Ladar test method and ultrasonic test method, for road internalstructure test are discussed here, and their advantages of non-damage, high efficiency and high accuracy are stressed and their future developments are prospected. At last,utilizing the results of the comparison of the fractal dimension and road performanceindex computed above, we analyzed several methods for improving the completelycontinuous forms of the interface. What’s more, we discussed the advantages anddisadvantages of the common used method of increasing the connection layers in theinterface, and proposed that the completely continuous forms of the interface could befurther improved by the improvement of the mixed furnish, construction environmentand construction technique, to reach the target of improving the attended mode of thesemi-rigid base asphalt concrete road’s interface.This paper is sponsored by the civil engineering materials engineering laboratoryof national local traffic opening fund project Research on the relationship betweenthe interfacil configuration, microscopic damage mechanics and fatigue damage inasphalt pavement structure.
