As an important branch of complexity science,Fractal theory covers many analytical methods of related systems in complexity science,such as the parameter discontinuity,fractal dimension,and scale-free nature of catastrophe theory.It has been widely used in biology.,Geology,and architecture.Fractal theory is a mature theoretical system that can quantify intricate and non-linear problems and establish a direct relationship between data and data.It has important theoretical and practical significance in describing urban spatial forms.This paper hopes to make some constructive suggestions on the spatial morphology of the typical area of Shenyang by means of quantitative evaluation of fractal dimensions.With the implementation of the policy of “rejuvenating the old industrial bases in the Northeast” and more vigorous efforts to promote reform and opening up,the construction of the Northeast is also changing with each passing day.As the core city of the three provinces of Northeast China,the urban spatial form of Shenyang has certain research value.This article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces the relevant overview of fractal theory and the skyline,architectural texture,and road network of typical areas in Shenyang,and describes the quantitative research methods of fractal theory.The second chapter mainly analyzes the application of fractal theory in the field of architecture.The third chapter calculates the fractal dimension of Shenyang's three typical regional skylines from the perspective of fractal theory,evaluates the aesthetic attributes of the skylines through quantitative methods,and analyzes their causes.In chapter four,through dimensional measurement,the quantitative evaluation of the fractal dimension fusion degree and the scale information fusion degree of three typical architectural textures in Shenyang are quantitatively evaluated,and the causes are analyzed in combination with regional characteristics and suggestions for improvement are proposed.The fifth chapter summarizes the characteristics of the road network in three typical areas of Shenyang,and makes quantitative research from the perspectives of regional road coverage and road evolution,and puts forward countermeasures.
