Research On Theory And Several Key Techniques For Kinetic Adaptive Skin

For years, the adaptive goal of architecture between human and environment has been one of the main themes that architects are exploring. Along with the development of building technologies, architecture needs more ecological request and architects requires more performance aesthetic concepts. As the bridge of inner and exterior environment, building skin is now containing much more functions and meanings than any period of time in history. Intelligence, adaptivity, kinetic design in building skin make more possibilities in architecture creation. It is surely the trend of development that the architecture form creation are combined with performance optimization.This research is exploring two subjects. One of them is the kinetic architecture skin and the other is adaptive architecture skin. The paper mainly contains four parts follows as the theory foundation, characteristic conclusion, key technologies and experiment design and test. Parametric design as the main design technique is applied during the experiment of adaptive architecture skin.
