Multiphase permanent magnet motor has a more broad space for development inlow-voltage high-power occasion and the application of continuously run demandingfor the motor, such as aerospace, military field, electric cars and other fields. Dualthree-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor is a kind of multiphase permanentmagnet motor, which combines respective advantages of permanent magnet motorand multiphase, but also have their own characteristics. At present, Dual three-phaseshifting30°motor is more researched. The advantage of this connection is thatwinding coefficient of the motor is improved, increasing the electromagnetic torque.At the same time, the torque ripple of the motor is effectively reduced. Dualthree-phase winding in the stator slot has more serious coupling phenomenon, whichwill affect the control precision of the motor control system. In order to reduce theinteraction between each phase of Dual three-phase shifting30°motor, Windingconnection of Dual three-phase windings shifting180°is proposed. In the paper,Characteristics of two kinds of different connection mode of Dual three-phasewinding, Coupling properties between the windings and the fault toleranceperformance of one-phase short-circuit and so on are studied, which is compared withthe traditional three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor.Firstly, Each phase coil magnetomotive force star figure of Dual three-phasewindings of two kinds of different connection mode,and each phase coil actualdistribution in stator slot are described and compared. Winding distribution of Dualthree-phase winding which uses two kinds of different design schemes is preliminarycompared and analyzed. In the paper, A12-slot10-pole permanent magnet motor isselected as the example. And using the simulation model of Dual three-phasepermanent magnet synchronous motor is established.Then using the simulation model of motor, No-load performance and Ratedperformance of Dual three-phase motor are analyzed. At the same time, lines ofmagnetic force distribution when Dual three-phase motor plus incentive, and mutualinductance between phases are compared and researched. Coupling between phases of Dual three-phase motor under the different winding distribution scheme is furtherstudied and is compared with the traditional three-phase permanent synchronousmotor.Finally, on the basis of analyzing the mechanism of Dual three-phase motor faulttolerance, taking one-phase wingding short-circuit fault as example, throughanalyzing magnetic chain of phases, current of phases and torque performance of themotor, Dual three-phase permanent synchronous motor when using two kinds ofwinding design both have certain fault tolerance performance. Comparing with Dualthree-phase shifting30°motor, during the motor fault phase-phase of Dualthree-phase shifting180°has weaker coupling.
