In recent years, there were numerous incidents of power system voltageinstability in the worldwide, which makes the static voltage stability become oneresearch focus in the study of power system stability. Our country has entered a bigpower grid, large units, high voltage, long distance interconnection transmission time,and that faced with the more impact of power system voltage instability will beinevitably than before. Therefore, the correct assessment of the safety and stability ofthe power system and making the system have enough power margin to preventvoltage collapse caused by low voltage accident, which has important significance.This article is based on continuous flow method, at first the continuous flow methodis improved, then the improved continuous flow was used to analyze the staticvoltage stability of power systems, at last the improved continuous flow is proved tohave better calculation results.Firstly, the principles, features and other related issues of continuous flowalgorithms are discussed; while the continuous flow in the application of staticvoltage stability analysis is analyzed.Secondly, an improved parametric PQ decomposition of the continuous flowmethod is proposed in this paper, and in the correction process, a new parametricmethod is presented in this paper, which is based on geometric similarity parametricequations to parameterize, and then PQ decomposition method is used in this paperfor solving the expansion flow equations. In the forecasting process, this paper usesLagrange quadratic interpolation method to predict to increase calculation efficiency.Compared with the traditional continuous flow method, the calculation time of theimproved parametric PQ decomposition of the continuous flow method which putforward in this article multiply decrease, and the occupied computational memory ofit is less and the computational accuracy of it is higher.Finally, the program of the improved parametric PQ decomposition of thecontinuous flow method of this paper is wrote, and using three examples of IEEE14,39,57node system and a practical example of a region to validate thepresented method of this paper, the results prove the quickness correctness andeffectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
