Along with the development of electronic technology and chip manufacturingtechnology, electronic processors have the characteristics such as high speed, smallvolume, and small power consumption. And combining with various advancedsensors, embed electronic processors in the household appliances and install a “brain”on the household appliance, make it do some adjustments according to the change ofthe environment without human interventions. It can improve the comfort,convenience and safety. It is an emerging technology,“smart home”.This paper focuses on the convenience for daily life and intelligent, redesignedthe electric fan we usually use. Using the89C52MCU((Micro Controller Unit) as themain controller, using the DS18B20temperature sensor measuring ambienttemperature, applying the advanced control technology of fuzzy adaptive PID, werealized the function that the electric fan could regulate the rotate speed automaticallywith high precision, according to the change or environmental temperature. Alsorealized the function that fan could regulate the rotate speed according to thetemperature set by users. As the same time, the system added a1602liquid crystaldisplay module, a HC-SR501infrared sensor, an ISD4004voice module, a DS1302real-time clock chip and the PT2262/PT2272wireless remote control module, etc.And the system also realized a variety of functions, the electric fan could startautomatically when users stand on the100°range before the fan and could report theoperation state. The system could real-time display the current temperature and timeand users also could remotely control the electric fan through the wireless modules.Through the ISD4004module, the system also recorded audio messages.The design of this paper that the system of multifunctional automatictemperature control fan based on MCU, was verified by test that could regulate therotate speed with high precision by the fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm at therange of25℃~36℃according to the ambient temperature. The system also couldreport the operation state, display the current temperature and time, record audiomessages. At the same time, users could remotely control electric fan within the scope of50m. The system operates normally, has low noise, small volume, intelligent,multi-functional characteristics. It is a successful application and practice thatimproving household electric fans with the smart home technology.
