Nowadays, as the vehicle control strategy is more and more complicated, the traditionalcontrol system of engine management system is bad for vehicle integration and extension, andproduction costs of research and development are also increasing. So the modern enginemanagement system has gradually transferred to the engine management system based ontorque, and it is suitable for natural gas engine management system based on torque controlresearch and development are also gradually. Moreover, in order to shorten the gap betweenour country and the developed countries, it is necessary to further study on the controlstrategies, theories and method.Using the development method of modeling electric control system, on the basis ofmean-value principles, natural gas engine simulation model was established in thematlab/simulink environment. In conclusion, based on the above model, this paper does someresearches as follows:(1)Based on theory of torque control algorithm are studied, it is mainly four parts, whichcomposed of torque requirements, torque coordination, torque converter, torque calculation.(2) Referring to the MBT ignition advance angle and inlet pressure estimation module,we can attain the corresponding relationships among the output of engine torque, the circulating air intaking, the output of torque and the ignition advance angle, and thusresearches on fire and gas control strategies, based on the algorithm of the torque control, can be carried on.(3)The technology of engine calibration, based on models, will be used in this paper toattain the initial map of the ignition advance angle as well as the torque-compensation mapfigure of the ignition advance angle under idling speed with the method of cycling calibration.Because of there being over1,000map figures the in the electronic control system of modernengine, the very method in this paper improves the researching efficiency greatly as well ascuts the research costs.(4)Do researches on building the fire realization of the ignition controllers to controlmethods of neural network, and it shows that the neural network performs well in controllingthe nonlinear system of dynamic variation mechanics. And to build the controllers ofelectronic throttles is to perform well in adjusting to the degree of opening of throttles. Finally,it shows that the two control algorithms can perform well in controlling the ignition advanceangle and the degree of opening throttle in order to control the output of torque.。(5)Based on what we can conclude from this paper, we attain the torque controlalgorithm of fire (the ignition advance degree) and gas(the electronic throttles),whichperforms well in controlling the idling condition of the engine. Because of the small control range and fast response of the fire route, this paper build the fast response of controllingrotating speed by the ignition advance angle under small torque. However, due to the bigadjusting range of gas control torque, it can be used as the main parameters under big torque. And then, this paper designs both software and hardware of the ignition controllers, andrealizes the control of the sampling of sensor signal with the help of microcontroller, themeasuring of the rotating speed of the engine, judging cylinder by crankshaft cam shaft, thetime of ignition and the ignition power. And the basic ignition advance angle can be achievedby carrying on the offline training of neural network of map figures that can be attained bycalibration. Moreover, the modified ignition advance angle can refer to the map figures oftorque compensation.Set up a study based on the torque control simulation platform, the correctness ofcontrolling strategies can be vivificated by simulation trials, and the system can realize thebasic needs of the torque control, which lays the theoretical and practical foundations for thefuture bench tests.
