Lead rubber bearing as one of the most widely used bearings in structurevibration and isolation field. Because of the perfect isolation effect, practicability andeconomy since it is invented. Therefore, it is more and more broad application in thepractical engineering. At the same time, a variety of mechanical properties of leadbearing have been studied through both test and theoretical by the expects at homeand abroad, in order to more thoroughly understand the mechanical properties ofbearing seismic action, providing enough theoretical reference for the furtherdevelopment of isolation technology. At present, the study of lead rubber bearing is mainly static analysis under thefixed vertical load. The effect of vertical load and dynamic to the properties ofbearing mechanics has not been fully taken into account, which does not reflect theactual performance in the earthquake. Therefore, the dynamic analysis of bearingsunder the different vertical loads is necessary. This paper is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(U1204502) and key scientific and technological project of Henan Province(102102210062), which is mainly carried out the following tasks:(1)This paper refers to a LRB that the diameter is300mm by one domesticmanufacturer, in accordance with the norms of rational choice mechanics parameters, using the finite element software-ABAQUS to establish bearing finite element model.(2)The mechanical properties of lead-rubber bearings under unidirectionalshear state level study to analyze the effect of vertical load on the bearing level thatinclude equivalent stiffness, equivalent damping ratio, energy performance, maximumhorizontal shear stress, etc..(3)The mechanical properties of lead-rubber bearing in the bidirectional shearstate are studied, analyzed the effort of vertical load on the bearing equivalentstiffness, equivalent damping ratio impact, energy performance, maximum horizontalshear stress, etc. Meanwhile, the mechanical properties bearing in the bidirectional state are compared with the ones in the unidirectional shear state.
