This thesis belongs to the "twelfth five-year" national science and technologyplan project “North China in the traditional local-style dwelling housesenergy-saving technology research”，Project No.2011BAJ08B01-01. Well as partof Henan Province Department of Education project to create a technology research“based on the geographical features of the Henan local settlement”, Project No.2009B560013.YuXiNan mountain is located in the southwest of Henan province, close toshanxi and hubei, northwest, southeast Shanxi and Henan in the region, the influenceof the traditional dwellings both north and south residential features. HenanSouthwest currently houses research focused on the direction of residential zoning,which in Nanyang City, and credit Jingziguan Town and a few historic town and theregion’s most typical, traditional houses lack the overall technical aspects of creatingthe mountains southwest of Henan research.With the acceleration of urbanization, the traditional form of creating patternsand keep relatively intact rural mountain houses gradually under attack, we need totraditional houses in Mountain southwest of Henan technology systems to createorder, to provide a basis for future theoretical research for sustainable developmentresults, which is the starting point of this thesis.In this article, a detailed exploration of traditional houses in western HenanNanshan, based on a comprehensive analysis of the impact of local geography andclimate, the environment, cultural factors and the surrounding area, from thesettlement siting, layout and structure of the courtyard, residential constructiontechnology to create three study concludes technical features to create traditionalhouses.Then be further from the suitability, inclusive and unique technology to createthree aspects to explore the relationship between the natural environment surroundingtraditional houses in Mountain southwest of Henan, inclusive form of relationshipwith the surrounding residential areas and the uniqueness of its own in the form of long-term evolution for the future protection and development of traditional dwellingsfoundation.
