Since the nonlinearity of electronic equipment, which caused the distortion ofgrid current, brought critical influence to the electronic safety and power quality,thecurrent harmonic pollution of electric power system has aroused more and morepeople’s attention. In order to solve the problems such as high THD and low powerfactor, scholars have put forward a lot of solutions in rectifiers. Among thesesolutions, the three phase PWM rectifier has advantages such as controllable inputpower factor, low THD, so it becomes an ideal interface to other electronic equipment.The technology of three phases PWM rectifier has become the world’s most popularResearch focus, contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the main circuits of three phase PWM rectifier, we established themathematical model in three phase stationary abc coordinate, two phase stationary αβcoordinate and two phase rotating dq coordinate, and analyzed the working principleof the PWM rectifier.And,the paper analyzed the four quadrant working mode of threephase PWM rectifier,introduced the direct current control method.Using dual-loopcontrol and SVPWM modulation,the three phase PWM rectifier can work in unitypower factor mode.(2)Based on TI’s micro control unit TMS320F28335,the paper designed thewhole scheme of three phase unity power factor PWM rectifier,including the selectionof MCU and the structure of the whole system.Baed on the whole the scheme,thepaper designed the hardware including singnl condition board,DSP board,IGBTdriving board and main circuit.At the same time,the paper described the detaileddesigns of each board such as parameter selection,schematic drawing.And wecombined these boards to form a three phase unity power factor PWM rectifierprototype machine.(3)The paper designed the software system of three PWM rectifier using theTI’s code composer studio,software designs including main program, interruptprogram and other sub-program,each program was described as program flow chart.At last, simulation and experimentation result showed that the three phase PWMrectifier can control current the same frequency and phase as voltage, achieving theunity power factor, reduce the harmonic pollution. Also, the system has a goodperformance on dynamic testing, which shows that the whole designs is successful.
