Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) is a kind of cementconcrete pavement constructed with continuous longitudinal and transversereinforcement and without crosswise stretching crack. This kind of pavement has alonger service life due to the configuration of longitudinal reinforcement in the plate, which limits the expansion of crack width and provides higher load transfercoefficient of the crack and stronger pavement integrity. Because CRCP works withcracks, it has a significant meaning on pavement design and management tounderstand the mechanical response of crack under vehicle load. This thesis mainly calculated the mechanical responses of CRCP cracks underdynamic load and intensive cracks under static load via finite element softwareABAQUS. The calculation for CRCP with intensive cracks was done under twoconditions, which are the integrity of the base under crack and the local void of thebase in the edge of the pavement. And it finally analyzed and introduced the crackingprocess of cracks and the prevention methods of cracks. The main research resultsachieved in this thesis listed as below:(1) For the case of the proper distribution of CRCP transverse cracks, analyzedthe displacement of the pavement、axial stress of longitudinal reinforcement、shearingstress on the bottom of CRCP、normal stress on the top of CRCP by changing thefactors of load size、pavement thickness、vehicle speed, then concluded the influencerule of all the above factors effected the parameters of CRCP structure.(2) In the condition of the complete base under the intensive cracks of CRCP, itwas concluded critical load position through calculation, then got the influence rule ofthe crack spacing, pavement thickness, crack width and vehicle load weight affectedthe flexural stress under CRCP, shearing stress under CRCP, flexural stress under baseand the normal stress on the top of CRCP.(3) When local void of the base took place in the edge of the pavement, it wasconcluded the effect law of crack width、vehicle load weight、the area of local voidand thickness of CRCP affected flexural stress on the top of CRCP and axial stress ofreinforcement.(4) Analyzed and introduced the two stages of the crack development process ofCRCP crack formed by load and the main factors to prevent CRCP crack, thus putforward the specific method of governing.
