| In recent years, it is increasingly and newly that community sports facilities were demanded,as the demographic structure changing in society. Even, the present facility developing level isless than the national goals. So, to allocate community facilities in a rational and persuasiveway with an adaptive method is necessary.This paper combines theory with practice to analyze the method of cities’ community sportsfacilities planning. Based on the relative theories, it concludes the index system and methodsin this research field. Simultaneously, it illustrates the feasibility by GIS. Based on thepractice, this essay compares the results between the present resources and the changingresults by using serving radius. Concerning on the results after comparing, finding a feasiblemethod to rearrange the community sports facilities are essential.This paper uses road accessibility to evaluate the community sports facilities level. Based onthe Location-Allocation model in GIS, this paper explain the specific methods in communitysports facilities planning from three classes, urban areas, standard-community andmicro-community. First, it uses road accessible distance2000m as the allocating standard. Inthis class, sports facilities in urban areas should share with institute sports resources. Secondly,it uses road accessible distance1000m as the allocating standard. In this class, sports facilitiesin standard-community should share sports resources with junior high school. What’s more, ituses accessible distance500m as the allocating standard. In this class, sports facilities inmicro-community. Last but not the least, after optimal allocation, ensuring the sports landusing is important.
