With rapid development of china and the growing demand for land,engineers ofstructure need to launch construction of various projects on a variety of complex andweak foundation. Thus,the characters of subgrade need to be known to design allkinds of base. First of all,designers should determine the model of foundation. Thecoefficient of subgrade reaction is the most important parameter about the responsefunction of subgrade. At the present stage,research focused on the model offoundation by Winkler. Because of the limitation of the Winkler’s, research on thecoefficient of subgrade reaction based on the two parameters foundation seems to bemore important. And the design of ground based on it shows more realistic than basedon single parameter,that is the model of Winkler.The studying of the bed-load coefficients on single parameter foundation hasalready gone deeply and been very comprehensive. But the research based on twoparameters,compression and shearing coefficient of subgrade,has been seldompublished. Only a little investigation about parts on the foundation has been showed,as based on that the two parameters has been known. The model of two parametersfoundation is more consistent with interaction between the base and subgrade. Topromote the analysis of two parameter foundation,the coefficient of subgrade reactionbased on two parameters needs to be studied deeply and urgently.This paper summarized the research of the coefficient of single parameterfoundation. Based on the energy principle,this paper derived the expression of staticcompression and shearing coefficient of subgrade with ralated research on singleparameter. This paper also derived the expression of dynamic compression andshearing coefficient of subgrade with ralated research on mass-damping-spring system.The calculation of the bending moments and shearing of the infinite beam on twoparameters foundation has been discussed in this paper. And the method of Rayleigh-Ritz is used to calculate the natural frequency of system approximately. At last,withthe proposed method, we can calculating the bending moments and shearing inflexible finite beam on Winkler bedding and two parameters foundation. With FEM,we also can get the result. By combining the results of two conditions and FEM,wecan find the results of two parameters is more according with the real condition. Sothe expression of parameters analazed by this paper is reliable and can be used in the design of foundation.
