With the rapid development of the economy and urbanization, the trafficcongestion has become the most important problem of our country, which restricts thedevelopment of the whole society. The reason for traffic congestion problem is thatthe rapid growth of population and motor vehicles has been out of the road trafficcapacity in this phase. To solve the bottleneck of traffic has become an importantproblem for the government departments. The practical experiences have proved thatwe cannot only rely on building infrastructures to solve the traffic problem which hasappeared in many cities these years. In addition to the macro transport policy, themodern management mean is also a significant step to solve the problems. As well thedevelopment of computer technology, electronic technology and so many high andnew technologies has provide many new ideas and methods to solve the trafficproblem in the modern society. The experience of developed countries’trafficdevelopment has told us that the most efficient mean to reduce traffic accident,prevent traffic pollution, reduce congestion and improve the level of trafficmanagement is intelligent traffic system.This article proposed forward the urban analyses traffic system based on GPS dataaccording to the traffic congestion and management problem that exist in the cities ofour country. This system gets reports about different roads’conditions of different citythrough collecting and analyzing GPS. The report usually composed of change curveof traffic flow, the statistics of the average speed of different roads etc., which cansupport reasonable advice about citizens’travel, management of road planning andpromote the development of urban traffic.This system described in this article mainly composed of data acquisition, datapreprocessing, map matching, visual display of analysis result, which realizes theacquisition, preprocessing and analyzing GPS data respectively, details are as follows:(1) The data acquisition and preprocessingThe based data is collected by the taxi software which includes GPS data, speeddata and user information uploaded by users real-time. We checked and analyzedthese taxi traffic data that we collected, and processed all these data which will disturb the data analyzing and impact the analysis results. These data include some wrongdata that as a result of drift and positioning error and missing data caused by thelocating blind area and unstableness of the network. Trough processing all theseabnormal data of different situation, the correctness of later analysis will be ensured.(2) The data matchingThis part will analysis the data that been processed, the classification algorithmwill be used for matching the traffic data and electronic map, as a result, the locationof the vehicle will be matched into different road of city. After the map matching, thesystem will analysis the traffic data of different road and generate daily traffic reportwhich includes road speed change tendency on average all-weather, vehicle liquidityand the statistics of traffic congestion period.(3) The results displayUsing JSP, JavaScript and Ajax technology, also with the aid of highcharts plug-in,we can achieve statistical results’ display on the web pages. In the form of bar charts,pie charts and graphs show the jam session, statistics of the traffic flow and speedcurve of different road, which will realize theintuitive display of analysis result.In conclusion, this urban traffic analyses system can get statistics of congestionsession, the average speed and vehicle flow rate through analyzing the trafficinformation of taxis, which will provide some reasonable suggestions for the citizens’activities and dispatching taxis for regulatory authorities.
