Scissors elevating machine is a hydraulic lifting device used for everywhere, because ofthe advantages of simple structure, stable operation, convenient maintenance etc. It is widelyused in the station, airport, plant maintenance, equipment installation and the hall and outdoorfacilities repair. Especially in recent years with the emergence of high-rise building, whichmake the demand of the scissors elevating machine are increasing. But there has not be acomplete set of methods based on the the oretical analysis of scissors elevating machine.Especially its hoisting mechanism, which makes the engineering staff can design only rely ontheir experience. Greatly limits the further development of scissors elevating machine.In this article, the scissors elevating machine’s hoisting mechanism are discusseddeeply. Through summarizing the lifting mechanism is divided into module, the calculationformula is derived, and detail analysis on how to select the material and its bearing capacity,then the application of these theories are used the20m scissors elevating machine ofShandong Ligao Lift Machinery Co., Ltd, the structure was optimized through theoreticalanalysis and calculation, to design a variable cross-section of the elevator. Finally thederivation of the formula are verified by finite element analysis software-Ansys.The main contents of this thesis:(1)According to the characteristics of the scissors elevating machine, through analysisits characteristics that make scissors elevating machine’s lifting mechanism divided into threetypes: A model of hydraulic cylinder drives a pair of scissors, a model of hydraulic cylinderdrives two pairs of scissors, a model of hydraulic cylinder drives there paisr of scissors, Themaximum thrust formula are deducted about every model’s Hydraulic cylinder. And thenintroduced the stress formula of the main hinge point.(2)The hoisting’s carrying capacity mechanism are analyzed. According to the relatedknowledge of mechanics, analysis of the selection criteria of f scissor arm’s section and thebearing capacity analysis and bending bearing capacity. Based on the analysis of scissor arm’sstrength to determine if the scissor arm’s size are to meet the strength requirements.(3)A three-dimensional model of the20m scissors elevating machine are set up bySolidWorks, and the formula derivation are to the machine. According to the calculation results to make the structure optimization of the elevator, design of a new variable crosssection of the scissors elevating machine. Analysis the stability of the whole structure andstrength of the elevator.(4)Analysis of the new structure with the application of Ansys, and to validate theformula. The scissor arm’s model are Introduced into Ansys, according to the stress to load onthe key points, get the force and stress distribution of scissor arm, and then compared with thetheory analysis result, versatility proving the correctness of the model and formula of thegenerality.
