In mold industry, the auto forging molds are mainly used for manufacturing pressingforgings like crankshaft, camshaft, knuckle, etc. The cavity structure of forging molds arecomplex. They are basically made of high-strength alloy tool steel of various grades.Therefore, the application of high-speed machining technology can quickly improveproduction efficiency, product quality, and effectively reduce the processing cost, energyconsumption. To research and development the high-speed auto forging mold millingdatabase system, is not only convenient for manufacturing enterprises to query and use therelevant processing information quickly, but also has a great significance to promote andapply high-speed machining technology.On the basis of combining of optimization algorithms, database and other advancedcomputer technologies, the database system of processing parameters optimization isestablished for auto forging mold milling. This is the way to achieve the optimalhigh-speed milling parameters.The main research contents are as follows:1.High-speed auto forging mold milling data involved was analyzed. The data forestablishing database has been chosen and represented explicitly. The characteristics andfunctional requirements of high-speed milling was determined. On the basis of high-speedmilling database of processing parameters optimization’s system architecture wasproposed.2.The concept structure of milling information was designed through the basic designprinciple of database and the idea of software engineering as guidance. Using MicrosoftOffice Access2007as the database management system platform designed the logicstructure and physical structure, and obtained high-speed milling database relation model.3.Using Visual Basic6.0as the application development tool designed the high-speedauto forging mold milling database. The basic information query functions have realized,and according the processing condition inputted, the experience milling parameters willshow.4. The highest productivity, lowest processing cost and multi-objective comprehensiveare the goals for optimizing high-speed milling parameters. And according to research ofthe high-speed milling parameters selection restrict of machine tool, cutting tool, workpiece, set up a single process of high-speed milling parameters objective optimization model. Through experiments prove that a small increase in the processing time can greatlyreduce the processing costs for multi-objective optimization. So it shows that the optimizedscheme is practical.5. On the basis of genetic algorithm optimizes high-speed milling parameters, the highspeed milling parameter optimization system was established through realizing VisualBasic6.0and Matlab7.0software associated programming, which by compiling M filesgenerates DLL files as a data exchange interface. And it has realized to query optimizationparameters of high speed milling.
