| Energy is one of the most indispensable material basis to human’s survival and development.Since the industrial revolution, the progress of human society is quite great, while the consumpt-ion of energy is increasing and the ecological environment is being damaged seriously, in orderto solve the problem of energy shortage and ecological environment deterioration, many countri-es of the world start exploring and researching wave power device. It is of no pollution, abunda-nt and widespread. Many countries have already developed all kinds of wave energy powergeneration device.This paper describes the current research of wave power device and also analysis theworking principle and characteristics of all kinds of wave power device. It talks about a new kindof spherical pendulum wave power device based on wave energy conversion principle, and alsoexplains the generating principle of the device. ByAQWAtorealize the simulation and optimiza-tion of this device. Details content of this paper as follows:(1)It worked out the speed, acceleration and trajectory of the water points according tomicro-wave amplitude theory and the incident wave potential function, besides, it introducessome basic theoretical knowledge of AQWA water dynamics software, floating body responsefrequency equation of motion and the time domain equations of motion.(2)According to the principle of wave transformation put forward a novel sphericalpendulum wave power device, and introduces its working principle and merit. Based on wavedistribution of resources in fujian waters around, as forough Froude Krylov hypothesis–theoryto the analysis of horizontal wave force.(3)To simulate the spherical pendulum wave energy power generation device by AQWAwater dynamics software. To work out under the same sea conditions, get the dynamic regulation,and shows the feasibility and periodicity of this installation work, and also the floating bodyRAO value and the hydrodynamic parameters can be clearly. In order to explore the relationshipbetween the spherical floating body angular and the wave parameters under different wavenumerical, by simulating it is clearly that the wave height is the main factor that affect the waveamplitude. The higher the wave is, the bigger the angular range will be, The wave period is theimpact of spherical body response speed factor, the smaller wave period, the faster response, the higher range of swing angle. The direction of the wave can be regarded as the main affectingfactor of the stability of the floating body. The best view of this operation is that the anglebetween the average wave and any midline of this power generation device is0.(4)In the circumstances of the same wave parameters, on the distance between thespherical floating body, spherical floating body depth of the water and floating body radius isoptimized.
