With the increasing share of the wind power in the power system, the impact of its integration is becoming widespread. It’s necessary to establish appropriate and accurate wind turbine generator models in order to do some research on the wind turbine control strategy, grid integration technology, and the grid stability. On the base of actual characteristics of the wind turbines in the low voltage ride through (LVRT) test, this thesis did some deeper research on the modeling of directly-driven wind turbines and the LVRT solution.This paper firstly did some research on the dynamic model、control strategy of the directly-driven wind turbines. Then mentioned the technical rules at our country and abroad, and introduced the main LVRT solutions.Established a directly-driven wind turbine model in DIgSILENT/PowerFactory, and realized the design of LVRT control model in order to face the grid fault. Took sensitivity analysis for the parameters in the control system model, in order to determine the critical parameters which influence the characteristic of LVRT.This thesis made an introduction of the standard published by China Energy, On the base of actual characteristics of the wind turbines in the low voltage ride through (LVRT) test, Results show that, the model can pass the validation successfully.
