The fundamental difference between RCC and normal concrete is that it is a kindof dry concrete structure, required to achieve dense body stable through vibrationcompaction can. The RCC has less cement content, small shrinkage, flexural strength,high construction speed, early traffic opening technology, economic advantage, forrural road construction, can be very good to promote the development of rural highwayin china. This paper mainly studies the mechanical properties of concrete of ruralhighway pavement compaction.In this paper, to detect the raw material used for the road surface of rollercompacted concrete, puts forward the technical requirements of the raw material, theroller compacted concrete mix ratio design, the water cement ratio, binder content,aggregate volume filling rate, ash as factors, the orthogonal design method wasselected to split test scheme, tensile strength, flexural strength and compressivestrength for evaluation index, modified VC and28d age, by range analysis method toanalyze the factors influence. Through the research: understand the use of water is themain factor affecting the roller compacted concrete workability, ash are the mainfactors that influence the mechanical properties of roller compacted concrete.According to the influence degree of each factor to optimize the mix proportion, thanin the foundation design with orthogonal test, further study on the indexes of all themechanical properties of roller compacted concrete, including compressive strength,splitting tensile strength, flexural strength, impact resistance and elastic modulus. Onthis basis, the numerical simulation analysis for the roller compacted concrete usingfinite element software, study of roller compacted concrete in compression, splitting,under the action of mechanical bending failure and failure mechanism, and thenumerical simulation analysis of the calculated values are compared with theexperimental data. Study on the construction technology, raw materials, stand the testsection7km thickness, compaction methods and times, curing, cutting, traffic openingtime, and provide the technical service for the application of roller compacted concretein rural highway.
