| This subject studies the workability, compressive strength, modulus of elasticity of the Roller Compacted Rubber Concrete (RCRC) by experimental method. Law of the RCRC workability and law of compressive strength, law of modulus of elasticity when the quantity of particulate rubber in the RCRC is change and law of compressive strength when the water cement ration is change are obtained. Method of mix design of the RCRC is proposed.Results revealed that Vibrating Compacted Value changes a little when the particulate rubber in the RCRC changes in the range of 0 kg/m3 to 150 kg/m3, but it gets smaller and then lager when the sand ration of the RCRC changes from 0.25 to 0.45. There is optimal sand ration for the Vibrating Compacted Value. As the water-cementitious material ration increasing, Vibrating Compacted Value decreases while the other factors are certain.While the other factors are certain, the more particulate rubber is adulterated, the lower of the RCRC compressive strength under 7 days, 28 days, 56 days. When the quantity of the rubber in the concrete is less than 100kg/m3, the alteration law of the compressive strength is approximately linear, and when it reaches 100kg/m3, the RCRC compressive strength decreases to 40% of normal RCC. However, it decreases to 1/3 when it reaches 150kg/m3.The modulus of elasticity of the RCRC specimen decreases when the quantity of particulate rubber increases, the alteration amplitude of the modulus of elasticity decreases when it reaches certain value. When the rubber quantity in the concrete equals to 100 kg/m3 or 120 kg/m3, the stress-strain curves in elastic period are nearly in one line, influence of modulus of elasticity by quantity of particulate rubber can be found after the period of elastic.At last, formula of the RCRC compressive strength under 28 days, cement-water ration and quantity of particulate rubber is founded by linear regression with experiment data. The method of RCRC mix design is put forward.
