Hardened helical gear reducer is a novel speed reducer drive, it adopts modularsystem optimization, advanced design idea, has the advantages of light weight, smallvolume, stable transmission, large transmission torque, transmission ratio grading fineand so on, can be arbitrary connection and installation location choice according to therequirements of the. A steel1580hot strip millreduction system uses is hardenedhelical gear drive, but in the actual production process the tooth scuffing and tooth rootfracture fault near the end surface, seriously affect the normal production. So it isnecessary to hardened helical gear work process in the study of stress distribution of,find out the cause, put forward solutions. In this paper, taking a steel1580hot strip mill main reducerhardened helical gearas research object. Establishment of three dimensional model of helical gearparametric Pro/E, according to the interference free assembly meshing helical gear torealize the size of the gear. The stress calculation of helical gear to the3D entity modelinto the finite element software, get the gears in themeshing process of gear tooth rootmaximum force and maximum bending stress of tooth surface contact stress, it isfound that the stress of gear tooth end value too large.Gear practice can improve the bearing capacity and stability of the transmissionin gear transmission. According to the hardened helical gear tooth end stress too muchproblem, put forward to themethod of gear tooth modification. Helical gear on avariety oftooth profile modification parameters are calculated by using the finiteelement model modification technology, get the maximum of helical gear tooth surfacecontact stress and tooth root bendingstress. Through the comparison of various bevelgear modificationparameters under the stress value, the optimum tooth profilemodification length. Significant design and processing researchhardened helical gear.
