The steel reinforced concrete filled GFRP tube short composite column, has the advantages of both GFRP tube concrete column and steel reinforced concrete column, the member cleverly uses the concept which called "the confined concrete", the strength and deformation capacity of the core concrete can be improved, the seismic behavior of the column also be improved; the section size of the member can be saved, the service space of the buildings can be increased; when compared the composite member with the reinforced concrete column, the construction of the composite member is convenient, and the durability of the composite column can be effectively improved.For studying the mechanical behavior of the steel reinforced concrete filled GFRP tube short composite column, proposing the reasonable design for the member, and for the further promotion and use in the actual project for the future, the good foundation has been found.To better master the steel reinforced concrete filled GFRP tube short composite column, the subject design and make7test component members, we will study the mechanical behavior of the steel reinforced concrete filled GFRP tube short composite column by test and numerical simulation analysis.The main research contents include as follows:1. We design the test, and analysis the test result of the steel reinforced concrete filled GFRP tube short composite column, we observe the external change of the whole members, collapse or not, we draw the load-displacement curve and load-strain curve of the composite column by the data which the instruments record, summarize the change laws of different members;2. We use ANSYS to establish the model of the steel reinforced concrete filled GFRP tube short composite column, and verify the model;3. The factors which effect the mechanic behavior of the members include the shaped steel ratio, the concrete strength, and the thickness of the GFRP tube, we analysis the influence law of the member according to the result from the test and the numerical simulation;4. Determine the reasonable value of the shaped steel ratio, the concrete strength, and the thickness of the GFRP tube, afford the reasonable design recommendations.
