In recent years, as been widely used at home and abroad, the roller compactedconcrete gravity dam has become a popular type of dam, due to its high constructionsafer, faster, lower cost, etc. The temperature field and thermal stress field simulationanalysis on the roller compacted concrete gravity dam has always been an importantresearch topic, and also is the important basis of making roller compacted concretegravity dam reasonable temperature control measures, The project has importantpractical value,so it is quite necessary for the research of this aspect.To the roller compacted concrete gravity dam of Zhang Jiapo reservoir as anexample, this paper established finite element simulation analysis of typical model(retaining dam section, computation) by using the ANSYS software. The typical damsection is obtained to simulate the temperature field and stress field of (retaining damsection, computation) during construction period and the transition period by usingthe ANSYS software. During simulation calculation, taking the different concretepouring temperature, different construction intermittent and other factors into accounton the influence of the temperature field and the stress field. In this paper, researchwork is as follows:(1) by using ANSYS software, the establishment of Zhang Jiapo reservoir rollercompacted concrete gravity dam three dimensional finite element simulation model ofa typical dam section (retaining dam section, and computation);(2) based on ANSYS platform, compiled Zhang Jiapo reservoir roller compactedconcrete gravity dam typical dam section (retaining dam section, computation)temperature field and stress field of the APDL parametric design language program;(3) To the roller compacted concrete gravity dam of Zhang Jiapo reservoir as anexample, calculation and analysis of retaining dam section under different conditions,the dam temperature field and stress field changes. On the basis of the results of thedam section calculation, select a reasonable working condition of control, alsocalculated and analyzed temperature field, stress field of the computation, Adopt thereasonable control of working conditions as recommended construction program. Research results will be used to guide the practical engineering construction.
