The roller compaction concrete gravity dam has become the preferred dam type of many projects because of its many merits. Compared with conventional construction formwork, the concrete face wall can adapt rapid construction of the roller compaction concrete gravity dam, shorten construction period , reduce cost of construction formwork etc, which has successfully applied to upper stillwater dam of U.S.A. and Khlong Thadan dam of Thailand etc. But temperature field and thermal creep stress of the roller compaction concrete gravity dam with concrete face wall fewer studied, so the textual research results have some application value.The paper mainly accordinged to heat conduction theory, elastic creep theory and finite element theory, combined with Kelasuke hydro-junction project of Xinjiang CHINA, with dam body of the roller compaction concrete gravity dam with concrete face wall and no face wall as research object, and calculated to non overflow section of the dam body in period of construction and operating with three dimensional finite element software-ANSYS. The dam's constructed simulate calculation is a coupling process of caloric-stress, following the practical construction program in the process of analysis, such factors are considered as lift placement of concrete, the placing temperature, thickness of lifts time interval between lifts the different material in the dam, and systematically studied law of distribution of temperature field and thermal creep stress of non overflow section of the dam body to period of construction and operating, and carried on contrast analysis to two kinds of plans.Passed calculation and analysis, the main conclusion is the result temperature field and thermal creep stress of two kinds of plans corresponds to ordinary rules, and it is reasonable; the temperature gradient of close to a dam body surface is bigger, and dam body surface produced a great temperature difference and tensile stress, so it may be produce crack of concrete surface. So should adopt certain measure for avoid body surface produce crack; The influence of the application of the concrete face wall to temperature field and thermal creep stress of dam body is smaller, and the application of face wall can improve construction progress to a large extent, reduce cost of formwork and construction, can reduce project investment thus. Study result enunciation, the time calculation and analysis result to actual the engineering have certain of application value.
