High strength cold-formed steel components have high strength, thin-section panels and other characteristics, in recent years, low-rise residential and cold-formed steel portal frame system developed countries have begun to yield strength of550MPa widespread use of cold-formed steel members, and achieved a certain degree of engineering experience, but our in this respect has just started. The current standard of’cold-formed steel structure technical specifications"(GB50018-2002)is based on test preparation Q235and Q345steel research-based, no corresponding provision of high-strength cold-formed steel design, therefore, the high-strength cold-formed steel members research is particularly important.In this paper, based on a lot of references, with the help of ANSYS finite element analysis software, buckling strength and bearing capacity of two different high-strength cold-formed steel box-shaped cross-section in the form of processed portfolio axial compression were material nonlinearity and geometric nonlinear numerical simulation analysis, and the use of CUFSM limited direct strength method of procedure and comparative analysis, specifically including the following:(1) considering the geometric size of the defect, establishing the constitutive relations of materials, first to analyse the high-strength cold-formed steel box-shaped combination of axial compression standard component using finite element analysis.(2) Based on the ANSYS finite element analysis focuses on a different flange thickness ratio b/t, the web thickness ratio h/t, stiffener spacing ratio g/h, stiffening height ratio hw/b and the length of the member under the impact of high-strength cold-formed steel thin-walled steel box-shaped combination of ultimate bearing capacity of axial compression and buckling modes.(3) using the CUFSM finite software for the parametric analysis of two new kinds of box section column axial load, and the results are compared with finite element method.(4) based on CUFSM numerical analysis, calculation of two kinds of high strength cold-formed steel box composite axial compressive ultimate bearing capacity of column using direct strength method of design formula, and compare the results with the ANSYS finite element analysis results.
