Transmission line overvoltage caused by lightning flashover occupies a largeproportion of accidents in the power system. So the evaluation of lightning protectionperformance has become an important task of the power line design department.Accurately on the basis of transmission line towers and tower fine modeling, analysis, research tower at lightning shock wave characteristics, its own research towerfoundation type, grounding, root opening, soil resistivity, etc. on the tower atlightning over voltage distribution impact and further calculations tower withstandinglevel and lightning trip rate, which measures the distribution of lightningover-voltage towers proposed to reduce an important guiding significance andapplication value. In this paper,220kV transmission line tower and foundation for the object ofstudy, its sophisticated modeling methods, under the impact of the lightningcharacteristics and analyze the main contents include:(1) summarizes the220kV transmission line tower tower modeling methods, andthe use of multi-wave impedance model for the220kV transmission line tower typicaltower structure modeling;(2) the use of numerical methods for electromagnetic220kV transmission linetower foundation were calculated equivalent impedance grounding, the establishmentof a tower-based equivalent circuit by circuit optimization method based on theequivalent impedance, and the basis of various factors impedance grounding wereanalyzed;(3) based on transmission line towers and base equivalent circuit220kVtransmission line tower struck by lightning on the characteristics of the simulation, calculation of the basic types of focus, grounding, root opening, soil resistivitylightning over the impact of the tower voltage distribution; based computing As aresult, further discussion of measures to reduce the transmission tower struck bylightning over-voltage distribution.
