Due to the small size and high reliability,GIS is widely used in electric powersystem, partial discharge is an important manifestation of its insulation degradation, todetect hidden trouble in security can effectively find the internal. At present, a lot ofmethods for detecting partial discharge, but according to the corresponding research andfield practice, found the uhf method because of its high frequency band, the test has agood shielding effect on the scene of the interference, based on this, this article USES theuhf method designed for field GIS partial discharge detection system. In general, thework is as follows:First of all, to the partial discharge detection effectively, must understand itsformation reasons and types of partial discharge, so the article in the first is the reasonsfor the formation of internal partial discharge of GIS are discussed in detailed analysis.Secondly, by comparing several commonly used detection methods at present, through the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of them and use scope, ultimately determine the UHF assay, and under the principle of the method to design a setof partial discharge detection system, the system consists of UHF sensor, UHF signalamplifier, transmission lines, digital filter, working frequency band are mainly distributedin300MHz to1500MHz.Due to the original signal itself is not able to get the detailed information of thepartial discharge directly, therefore, at the end of the article, the test system is used forthe field test, and will get the signal input to the computer by contrast with typical partialdischarge in the database, draw the corresponding discharge type, also validate thedetection system is scientific.
