Research And Application On Performance Testing Of Electric Information System

In performance testing, operations with a large number of parallel transmissions or operations with heavy pressure on the system are employed as testing cases. As a testing tool, test software runs test cases to acquire and analyze the results. The purpose of performance testing is to detect the completion rates of performance quota in the system and measure them by the criterion of user demand. Thus, performance testing can assist to discover the existing performance problems in electrical information system and guarantee the running performance after the formal deployment of the system.Electrical information system demands a complete performance testing before it is formally utilized in work environment. According to the features and application environment of Project of the Anhui Province Informationization Power Supply Company, a new testing scheme is proposed and used in the testing work as a guideline. In the testing work, LoadRunner is chose to be the performance testing tool in accordance with our team's testing techniques. The main contexts of this dissertation are as follows:(1) The performance testing theory and procedures are investigated. The status quo of the domestic and foreign performance testing techniques and models are analyzed. A new set of performance testing procedure and scheme for the electrical information system is proposed in accordance with the large amount of data, multiple pages and complex procedure features of the C/S electrical information system.(2) Several ordinary performance testing tools are researched through difference comparisons. LoadRunner is employed for the performance testing. Its limitation on automation is improved by script techniques such as manual association, parameterization as well as scenario settings. Therefore, the performance of work environment of the Informationization Power Supply Company is simulated more reasonable and more reality than before.(3) According to the completion rates of the testing examples and performance quota, the performance testing results of this project are provided and possible bottlenecks are analyzed. Combined with some problems when doing the test, research and work in next step are also proposed. With using the new set of performance testing procedure and scheme, also taking LoadRunner as the test tool, we have done effective performance testing on the Anhui Province Informationization Power Supply Company project, such as the integration of Marketing and Finance, integration of Marketing and Power Distribution, integration of Equipment and Asset. The result shows, it can find performance problems that existed in the system accurately and timely, also provides foundation for the system correction.
