The wind ing inter-turn short circuit fault is one of common fault and is greatharm to the generator and wind power systems. Therefore, the study of DFIGwind ing inter-turn short fault is significance to the safe operation of wind turbinesand the efficiency of wind power systems.This paper establishes the DFIG mathe matical model in healthy, stator windinginter-turn short circuit fault and rotor wind ing inter-turn short circuit fault base onmulti-loop theory. This paper analyses the princip le of selecting circuit and thesetting method of short circuit fault also.This paper calculates the various phys ical parameters and inductanceparameters of DFIG using MATLAB simulation software. The slot leakageinductance, the ends leakage and the impact of the air gap magnetic field spaceharmonics is considered in the processing of calculate.This paper analyzes the change of electromagnetic characteristics in statorwind ing inter-turn short circuit fault, and then summed up the changes of the rotorcurrent harmonic components. The theoretical derivation is verified by thecomparison of normal and inter-turn short circuit fault simulation results. Inaddition, this paper analyzed the stator current phase angle difference and thechange characteristics of amplitude in stator winding inter-turn short circuit fault.This paper analyzes the change of electromagnetic characteristics in statorwind ing inter-turn short circuit fault, and then summed up the changes of the onebranch current and line current of stator harmonic components. At last, this paperstudies the stator side parallel branch circulation changes.The research on the failure mechanis m and features or DFIG can providevaluable theoretical basis for winding faults diagnosis and condition monitoring.
