The development of distributed generation is getting better. And as a way torealize the distributed generation technology, Microgrid technology is also changingalong with every day passing. Microgrid has caused worldwide attention because itcan effectively use the new energy and renewable energy, and provides technicalsupport for the grid-connected application of the new energy and renewable energygeneration. Microgrid integrates microsources and internal loads, and facilitates thescheduling management of main grid as an intelligent controllable unit for weakeningthe drawbacks of distributed power grid connection alone. Microgrid can provideelectric energy of high reliability and quality for the internal load. Furthermore,Microgrid ensures the demand of grid internal load when major natural disasters oraccidents occur. It needs mature operation and management technology to achievethese Microgrid functions. So the optimization of Microgrid operation is the key ofthe whole microgrid research. This paper studies the economic load distribution andoperation optimization method of Microgrid.Firstly, this paper introduces the current status of multi-objective optimizationoperation research in Microgrid, discusses the establishment of the microgrid systemeconomic operation optimization model and optimization algorithm. Secondly,itbrings the universal gravitation search algorithm into the operation of the microgridoptimization, and makes it more appropriate to solve the problem. Thirdly, structurecharacteristics of Microgrid itself, and features of microsources are taken intoconsideration in this paper to establish the mathematical model which meets therequirements of operation problems. In the meantime, multiple objective functionsand multiple constraints are also considered to establish the mathematical functionsfor Microgrid optimization operation. This paper implements multiple improvementson gravitational search algorithm to make it suitable for Microgrid operationoptimization problems, the simulation analysis proves that the improved gravitationalsearch algorithm provides a good solution for the economic operation optimizationproblems of Microgrid. For the realization of better control for Microgrid, this paperstudies the unit commitment problem of microsources inside the Microgrid based onthe electrical characteristics of various microsources. Moreover, the binary algorithmis combined to improve universal gravitation search algorithm for application in unitcommitment problem.
