Solar energy as a kind of clean and renewable energy has been widely used underthe background of advocating low-carbon economy. Photovoltaic power generation isexpected to achieve the connection to grid at an equal price in the near future, thereforehas a greater economic significance and a broader development prospects.With the rapid development of photovoltaic industry, the higher requirement onphotovoltaic (PV) grid-connected inverter has been put forward. Inverter is the keyequipment in the whole DC generation system with the effect of converting the directcurrent into the220V alternating current. The reliability of the grid-connected inverterworking directly affects the steady, safe and highly efficient running of the whole PVgrid-connected power generation system. So performance test of PV grid-connectedinverter is very important for the stability and the safety of the power grid operation. Atpresent, our national standards only provide the performance requirements of the invertershould meet, and not make corresponding test conditions and procedures. Therefore, it isnecessary to further research on the test methods and steps of PV grid-connected inverter,and develop an automatic testing device to improve the detecting efficiency andaccuracy.In this paper, a set of practical method of testing PV grid-connected inverter hasbeen presented, which based on the testing standards at home and abroad. And the set oftesting method is applied into the inverter testing platform. The detection platformconsists of programmable DC source, AC source, power analyzer, intelligent RLC loadand control computer. The communication between PC and instruments is via RS485andGPIB bus. The software of this detection system is developed with the virtual instrumentlanguage LabVIEW, which complete the integration of the entire automated testingsystem. The system adopt function-structured and modularized design concept tocomplete parameter setting, data collection, data processing, results display,data savingand other functions. It has the advantages of simple operation, expandability and friendlyman-machine interface. Practical application shows that the conclusion of this platform isrational and reliableļ¼Œand its detection results are accurate and achieve budget targets. Thetest platform has certain practical value for promoting the development of the domesticphotovoltaic industry and improving the testing efficiency of PV grid-connected inverterhas certain practical value.
