| Nowadays, under the premise of Sustainable development in society and productivitycontinuous improvement, the requirements of people living environment graduallyimproved. However, at the same time of the quality of life improvement, we are oftenignored the environmental impact, particularly on the energy consumption. Energy is animportant foundation for human development. With the increase in global energyconsumption, the traditional non-renewable energy and corresponding traditional energyconsumption cannot meet the high-paced life and material demand. How to increase theutilization efficiency of energy has become an important issue we need to solve.In this paper, under the low waste heat temperature conditions the experimental wasdone on the desiccant wheels, the desiccant wheels of the experiments are PPS silicadesiccant wheels, PPM silica zeolite desiccant wheels and50%PPS and50%PPMmolecular sieve composed desiccant wheels. Due to the low waste heat temperature isgenerally60℃to90℃,the regeneration temperature is60℃and80℃, regenerationhumidity is5%,the remaining conditions are the variables, which includes the processtemperature (20℃,30℃,40℃), processing humidity (70%,80%,90%), processingwinds (1.5m/s,2.5m/s,3.5m/s), regeneration Wind speed (1.5m/s,2m/s,2.5m/s,) wheelsspeed (6r/h,8r/h,10r/h).The experimental conclusions are as follows:(1) Compare to the different desiccant wheel dehumidification performance coefficient(DCOP) and dehumidification capacity (D) of basic conditions we can found that theDCOP of three kinds desiccant wheels increased one times when the regenerationtemperature increased from60℃to80℃. Meanwhile, at the same regeneration conditionof other air conditions the DCOP and D also increase.(2) Compare with the DCOP and D of three desiccant wheels when the process airtemperature and humidity rate change we can found the rules as follow. DCOP of desiccantwheel increases with the humidity increase of the process air. When the humidity rate risefrom70%to90%, the DCOP of PPS silica gel desiccant wheel enhanced most obviously,DCOP increased by33%or so. The highest DCOP and D of PPS wheel are under thecondition of90%humid rate. At the20℃processing air temperature,60℃and80℃regeneration air temperature conditions, the D of PPS wheel is2times higher than PPMwheel and PPM/PPS wheel at the same conditions. When process air temperature increasedfrom20℃to40℃, the DCOP of PPM/PPS50%wheel increased3.5times. When processair temperature is40℃, both the D of60℃and80℃regeneration temperature are highest. The result shows that PPS wheel have a good performance at high humidity condition andPPS/PPM half wheel have a good performance at high process air temperature condition.(3) Compare with the DCOP and D of three desiccant wheels when the process airspeed and regeneration air speed change. The PPS/PPM half wheel has better DCOP and Dat1.5m/s process air speed. The PPM wheel has better DCOP and D at3.5m/s process airspeed. When process air speed is3.5m/s, regeneration temperature is80℃, the value ofPPM wheel is the highest of all the desiccant wheels, compared with60℃regenerationtemperature condition the DCOP has increased three times. When regeneration air speedincrease from1.5m/s to2.5m/s, under60℃and80℃condition, the DCOP of PPS/PPM50%wheel is highest and increased by60%and40%respectively, while DCOP of the otherdesiccant wheels decreased. PPS/PPM50%wheel is suit for the lower process air speed,while the PPM wheel is suit for the higher process air speed condition; when regenerationair speed rise, PPM/PPS wheel is the best choice.(4) Compare different wheel speed, we found that the DCOP and D of PPS silica gelwheel is maximum under the condition of60℃regeneration temperature6r/h wheel speed.When regeneration air temperature is80℃, wheel speed is10r/h, PPS wheel increased1.3times compared to6r/h wheel speed. PPS wheel at higher wheel speed conditiondehumidify effect is best.(5) Compared with the simulation data and experiment data, in the same operatingconditions of different materials wheels, the overall trend after processing is consistent tothe simulation; there is still have some distance of numerical simulation from experimentalvalue; Considering the condition of simulation is adiabatic, and the simulation model doesnot considering the angular velocity of desiccant wheels, the result will have somedifference from the experiment. |
