Steel H-beams with corrugated web, as a new component, can obtain higher shearbuckling capacity with thinner web thickness, which results in saving of steel. In theapplication of H-beams with corrugated web in multi-story and high-rise frame structure,beam-column rigid connection is the main connection mode. Because of horizontalpressure caused by the bending moment at the end of the beam, Column web mustsatisfy the requirement of local pressure and local stability. At the same time, thehorizontal tension makes the column flange tensile and bending. Therefore, the levelstiffener is often set in the column web, which causes the complex stress of panel zone.In this paper, based on the results of previous studies, and by using the finite elementnumerical analysis method, the panel zone of rigid connections of H-beam withcorrugated web is systematically analyzed and researched, and some useful conclusionsare obtained. Main work and conclusions are as follows:Using the analysis of finite element method.the establish S series of finite elementmodel of panel zone of rigid connections of H-beam with corrugated web of differentcorrugated sizes and BFS series of finite element model of different web thicknesses toresearch the influence of change of the beam web corrugated size and thickness onbehavior of panel zone; Then, establish CBT series of finite element model of panelzone of beam-to-column extended endplate rigid connection and CWT series of finiteelement model of panel zone of flush endplate rigid connection to research the influenceof change of endplate thickness on behavior of panel zone. According to the results offinite element analysis, analyze the difference of the buckling eigen value, failure modeand Von Mises stress value of panel zone with the variation of the above parameters, and draw the conclusion that the deformation in the center of panel zone is larger and inthe edge is smaller. The analysis results show that the panel zone of rigid connection ofthe smaller corrugated sizes as a whole has these advantages of slightly higher bearingcapacity, smaller deformation and smaller Von Mises stress; with the increase of weband endplate thickness, the bearing capacity of panel zone increases, but the increasetends to decrease.By researching the hysteretic behavior of CBT series and CWT series of finiteelement model, and the influence of change of the endplate thickness on the hysteretic behavior, draw the conclusion that with the increase of the endplate thickness, thebearing capacity of panel zone increases gradually, and the hysteresis curves tend to befull; when the thickness of the endplate is same, the hysteretic behavior of the panelzone of extended endplate connection showed superior performance to the flushendplate connection.
