Switched reluctance motor is a new type of speed control system, which hasobvious advantages in the field of the motor, such as simple and rugged construction, stable system, widely speed range. However, due to its stator and rotor are salientstructure, making the electromagnetic torque of the motor with periodic pulsating nature, that has led to a magnetic field having a saturation characteristics and nonlinear whenthe SR motor is running. The resulting larger vibration and noise, become an importantfactor affecting the development and application of the motor. For a long time, the focusof research has been how to better inhibition of motor torque ripple and vibration. Asthe large torque ripple of switched reluctance motor, this article improved the motorbody structure, in order to achieve optimal motor performance.First, elaborated the basic equations and three mathematical models of switchedreluctance motor, as well as studied the various models of inductance, winding currentand torque at different stages of change.Secondly, on the basis of the motor electromagnetic design and performanceparameters of the design principle, designed the switched reluctance motor. UsingANSOFT software prototype to analyze the transient electromagnetic field finiteelement, and analyzed and calculated the SRM based on rotor skewing, detailed toanalyze the influence of rotor skewing to static characteristics, and compared with thestraight rotor structure. Analysis shows that the rotor skewing can effectively improvethe performance of the motor, and can weaken the torque ripple in a certain extent. The fixed point theory is introduced into the genetic algorithm, and using theimproved genetic algorithm to optimize the rotor skewed structure of switchedreluctance motor which based on the theory of fixed point, and established themulti-objective optimization model, finally got the approximate optimal solution ofoptimization problem sets, and verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposedalgorithm, optimization design provides a general solution for the generator.
