Research On Permanent Deformation Of Warm Mix Asphalt Mixture

WMA is as good as HMA and CMA, it can lowing the temperature more than30℃compared to HMA. In an another word, it largely reduces the asphalt fumes in production and power used for production. Nowadays, this techology introduced lately in china, so little research has been done during this decades, especially about permanent deformation.Rut (permanent deformation) is a common disease in our country highway phenomenon which not only affected the aesthetics pavement, but also for motor vehicles, it has a lot of security threats. and its formation mechanism was affected by temperature, vehicle load, load times and so on various factors.Based on its influencing factors, triaxial creep test was used to simulate the actual situation of pavement stress by using mathematical method to fit the equation.It’s good for future warm mix asphalt’s pavement design and forecast life.In this paper, using theoretical analysis and test methods to evaluate WMA performance by using triaxial repeated load test under different test temperature, different deviatoric stress and different load time. Finding out the rule of WMA permanent deformation.Main research results are as follows:①To design the asphalt mixture, research on Aspha-min warm mix asphalt mixture to determine a reasonable perfect specimen preparation method.②Use triaxial repeated load test to test WMA AC-13,AC-20permanent deformation performance under different test temperature, different deviatoric stress and different load time, carrying out the rule of permanent deformation.③Analysis on constitutive model to carry out forecast equation which has unknown parameters. Then use fitting to make sure the forecast equation by test’s data.④Use ORIGIN8.0software to draw3d surface picture to get the unknown value because of lack other data.⑤The triaxial test results compares the rutting test to find out the correlation analysis. the results show that both have high correlation.⑥According to special heat theory with investigation, assessing the benifit about WMA from economic and reducing the power. Then analysizing the asphalt fume.
