With the voltage level improved of power transmissions, the demand of stability topower transmission lines was increasingly higher.Transmission lines fault caused bymeteorological environment and human factors always led to paralysis of large area ofeclectricity supply. It is common that vibration of wind-induced for transmission lines ledto faults. Therefore, research on transmission lines to improve the safety is essential.Firstly, the paper study vibration models of transmission lines and lines-dampersystem.,which the vibration characteristics was obtained Based on the models. Secondly, established wind speed model and completed analysis of wind-induced vibration ofoverhead transmission lines. Finally, a overhead transmission lines vibration monitoringand analysis system was developed. The main works were listed as follow.(1) The form of vibration of transmission lines in three-dimensional space weredecomposed into the vertical plane and horizontal plane. The transmission lines wasabstraced into composite structures of finite units, which each unit was an elastomer. Thedisplacement of units were represented by interpolation function. Thus, the models in thethe vertical and horizontal planes were obtained. The relationship between the vibrationcharacteristics and the bending stiffness,cross-sectional area, density, the outer conductorof tensile stress and other physical characteristics was very close. The effect ofanti-vibration of damper was simulated through the model of line-damper system.(2) The paper calculated the wind load in the vertical and horizontal planes based onthe antoregression model. The wind loads were loaded onto the lines and completed theanslysis of wind-induced vibration. The method could simulate the vibration responsebased on local weather conditions, etc. Some measures was taken timely based on thesimulation result to reduce the harm to the transmission lines. The simulation resultscould also provide a reference for the transmission lines design.(3) overhead transmission lines vibration monitoring and analysis system wasdeveloped using the labVIEW.Which take the advantages of MATLAB and Access.Thesystem included data collection, data read, modal analysis, wind simulation, frequencyresponse, response induced by wind simulation,wind-induced response.
