"Mechanical drawing" is a compulsory professional foundation course for engineering students. It is difficult for course teaching to cultivate the students’ ability of space imagination and conception. The traditional teaching methods can be used for the traditional teaching content to cultivate students the traditional teaching content, make students think only one-way and lack of creative thinking ability, but not multidirectional divergent and reverse thinking. This system of this paper focuses on study how to use the computer aided teaching method and means, will show how to transform two or three two-dimensional plane figure/view of space three-dimensional objects such as shape, size, location, geometry information or physical information, quickly and efficiently into the psychological mechanism, the geometric principle, the best way and method of3d model. This is a map reading problem of arrangement/aggregation, namely cultivating students to form the image of the space thinking ability and creative ability of configuration design, while it is the key point of the process of teaching.Find examples and exercises combined with modern geometry modeling method (tensile, lofting, intersection, and set, difference set, etc.) and the practical engineering. Research and select the most quickly and efficient modeling method and means by the geometry of2d graphics to3d entity. In the process of teaching according to the demonstration appropriately and step by step, the students can understand dynamically the mutual transformation of2d and3d, and can also have a more direct, more real understanding of the software. The integration of3d geometric modeling and teaching method can make teaching content more rich, make the students’space concept stronger and more practical and make the teaching process more compact and vivid, then can further stimulate students’interest in learning this course and drawing software, cultivate space imagination, form a good habit of thinking, finally achieve the purpose of improving teaching quality.First of all, establish the engineering drawing and computer AutoCAD drawing and collect some classic problem. Then secondly, sort and summary these exercises, select some representative problems to establish the engineering drawing teaching system. Improve for teachers to teach still in the traditional teaching mode, which is based on the three dimensional modeling function of AutoCAD, then in each step make the pictures inserted into the PPT in establishing teaching system. On the one hand, it can improve the efficiency of the teacher’s teaching, on the other hand, we can also make students better understand and grasp the knowledge. Thirdly, On the basis of the teaching system, establish the students’ autonomous learning platform. Compare some methods of similar questions together, to be convenient for students to practice the knowledge of the system, make students better grasp the content of this system, and, then in the process of exercise, exercise students’ ability of space imagination and modeling. Finally, on the basis of the students to complete the autonomous learning, the interface of a model library can be set up. The key of this system, namely one problem with more solutions, comparison, find out the common problems in the process of teaching research and find out the laws of these patterns of one problem with more solutions.
